Online Emitters

For many applications, stainless steel emitters exhibit characteristics that are superior to those obtained with fused silica emitters:

Stable spray maintained over a wide flow rate range - from less than 50 nL/min to more than 1500 nL/min - and easily re-initiated after intermissions
Exceptional durability - reliable performance in excess of 1000 hours
Low risk of blockage - the tip is not tapered inside

Proxeon offers a wide selection of high quality, electropolished, nanobore stainless steel emitters for coupling online to a nanoflow LC system or a syringe pump when using LC-MS.

Available in different lengths, these emitters are supplied pre- inserted in microsleeves of various O.D to facilitate installation on Proxeon and other ion sources.

Offline Emitters

Stable spray - from 10 nL/min to 40 nL/min
Long length emitters to achieve slower flow rates
Medium length emitters for samples with higher viscosity and easier "start up"
Double coating of Au/Pd for use with original Micromass sources and whenever a stronger coating is useful

Proxeon offers a range of disposable, metal-coated borosilicate capillaries for offline nano ES mass spectrometry.

Available in long or medium length and with single or double layer of Au/Pd coating. A small aliquot of sample is placed directly inside the emitters using a thin pipette tip and a static air pressure together with the application of a voltage generates a stable spray.

Custom-made emitters to suit your specific application, can also be supplied.
